Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To hold the film thickness of ink automatically at a proper value, and to reduce the fraction defective of the finish printing of a print by automatically adjusting the film thickness of ink adhering on a roller for an ink attaching device for a printer. CONSTITUTION:When infrared rays are projected from a light-emitting source 80 while a disk body 86 is turned at fixed speed by driving a motor 84, infrared rays transmit a first interference filter 88 or a second interference filter 90 through a condenser lens 82, and pass in a photoconductive tube body 72 and reach the circumferential surface section of an inking roller 2. When infrared rays projected from the projector 68 side reach the circumferential surface section of the inking roller 2, one part of infrared rays is absorbed by ink on the circumferential surface section of the inking roller 2, thus resulting in corresponding relationship with the film thickness of ink of the reflectivity of infrared rays at that time. Accordingly, an electric signal outputted from a photoelectric converter 94 corresponds to the film thickness of ink adhering on the inking roller 2.
