Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To enable reinforcement of a casting sheet, by a method wherein a roughened surface is formed on the back of the casting sheet of resin and a hardened layer of a sheet molding compound is laminated on the roughened surface as a reinforcement layer. CONSTITUTION:A roughened surface 2 is formed on the back of a casting sheet 1 of resin, an SMC 3 is formed by putting a sheet molding compound (SMC) 3 upon the roughened surface 2 of the casting sheet 1 and a hardened layer of the SMC 3 is laminated on the back of the casting sheet 1 as a reinforcement layer 4. A liquid casting resin material 6, for example, is thrown into a casting vessel 5 and then a glass mat 7 is mounted on the top of the same. The casting material 6 is heated, pressurized and hardened by flowing steam into a steam pipe 15 after putting the casting vessel 5 into a heating and pressurizing vessel 12 and introducing high-pressure air through a high-pressure air introducing pipe 13. With this construction, the glass mat 7 is stuck firmly and unitarily to the casting sheet 1 and the roughened surface 2 is formed on the back of the casting sheet 1 with a fiber mesh of the glass mat 7. Reinforcement of the casting sheet 1 can be performed with the glass mat 7.
