Vehicle condition detecting device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To enable the proceeding of transportation and distribution, the adjustment of ground clearance, and a control of vehicle attitudes to be effected by configurating a device in such a way that a load detecting means is provided for each of suspensions for wheels so as to meansure the position of the center of gravity and/or carrying loads based on signals from the load detecting means when a vehicle speed is zero. CONSTITUTION:Each of load detecting sensors 31 through 34 is provided for each of suspensions 21 through 24 for four wheels of a body 1, the output from each of those sensors 31 through 34 is inputted into a controller 4. Then the controller 4 forms a judgement as to whether a signal is present from an alternator 6, and if the signal is present, the position of the center of gravity and the weight of the body are measured based on the output from the sensors 31 through 34 when a transmission 7 is in a neutral position. On the other hand, when the said signal is not present, the position of the center of gravity and the weight of the body are measured based on the output from the sensors 31 through 34 when the transmission 7 is out of the neutral position. And the travel distance is computed based on a signal from a distance meter 8, and then computation is performed based on the resultant on the said distance, the above mentioned position of the center of gravity and the weight so as to form a judgement as to whether a vehicle operation for both transportation and distribution can be proceeded or not within actual working hours.
