Magnetic disk device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To make packing being used for a magnetic disk unit unnecessary by circulating clean air in the first storing chamber by a clean air circulating means disposed in the first storing chamber of a casing and maintaining the purity of this storing chamber. CONSTITUTION:When the door of the casing 3 is closed, if the blower 11 of the clear air circulating means is driven in the magnetic disk unit storing chamber 4, the blown air discharged from the blower 11 passes through a filter 12, is filtered to the clear air, conducted by air flow passages 13a-13b via the circumference of the magnetic disk unit 1 to the suction part of the blower 11, thereby, circulated. In this manner, since the clean air is circulated by the clean air circulating means in the first storing chamber 4, the purity can be maintained. When the blown air circulates, if a desired small door 5b disposed in the door 5 is opened for exchanging the disk unit 1, the blowing degree in the disk unit storing chamber 4 is maintained from an opening part since the pressure of the blown air is higher than an atmospheric pressure.
