Liquid crystal display device
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To maintain excellent display quality regardless of variation in temperature by providing a circuit which varies the number and width of pulses according to the temperature. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 9 composed of a microcomputer, etc., sets the number of pulses of a driving voltage according to temperature data obtained by the temperature sensor 5 of a liquid crystal display panel 4. When the ambient temperature becomes relatively lower (higher) than room temperature, the circuit 9 sets the number of pulses corresponding to the temperature data to a larger (smaller) value than at the room temperature, and optimum hysteresis width is obtained at the low temperature and high temperature, thereby maintaining excellent display quality. Further, the same effect is obtained by varying the pulse width.
