Seat slide device for automobile
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To make a movable rail smoothly slide with respect to a fixed rail without being directly affected by the dimensional accuracy on machining by rollingly fitting balls and rollers between the flat face contact parts of said fixed rail and said movable rail. CONSTITUTION:A fixed rail 1 which is fixed to a body consists of a nearly horizontal base part 2, side parts 3 which are erected on both sides of the base part 2, upper parts 4 which extend mutually inwardly from the ends of both side parts 3, and a suspending parts 5 on the inner ends of the upper parts 4. A movable rail 8 consists of a vertical base part 9 which projects upward through both upper parts 4 of the fixed rail 1, lower parts 10 which extend toward both sides from the bottom end of the base part 9 while being nearly parallel to the base part of the fixed rail 1, and rising parts 11 which rise from the ends of the lower parts 10. And, balls 12 are rotatably fitted in between the suspending parts 5 and the rising parts 11 while rollers 13 are rollingly fitted in between the base part 2 and the lower parts 10. As a result, it is possible to make the movable rail smoothly slide at all times with respect to the fixed rail without being directly affected by dimensional accuracy on machining.
