Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a video signal processor for adding a special video effect and outputting the video signal by converting an inputted composite video signal into three primary color analog RGB signals and slicing these analog RGB signals by a preset slice level. CONSTITUTION:An inputted composite video signal is separated into a chroma signal and a luminance signal by a Y/C separating circuit 1, and the separated chroma signal is converted into analog RGB signals consisting of three primary colors by a decoder circuit 2. The separated luminance signal Y is inputted to a synchronizing separation circuit 3, herein, a burst flag gate pulse required for the decoder circuit 2 is outputted and the gate pulse is outputted to an equilibrium modulating circuit 4 disposed at a final end side of a color collector. The analog RGB signals outputted from the decoder circuit 2 are inputted to a slice circuit 5, herein the respective signals are sliced at predetermined slice levels and inputted to the equilibrium modulator circuit 4.
