Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To provide always proper steering property by interposing a transmissibility varying means for varying the transmissibility of wheel steering angle to steering wheel steering angle according to the steering speed of a steering wheel in a steering force transmitting path in the above-captioned device. CONSTITUTION:A steering gear has a steering gear device 3 connected to the other end of a steering wheel shaft 2 through an intermediate shaft 2 to transmit the output to left and right steering wheels 8 through a linkage 7. Then, between the steering wheel shaft 2 and the intermediate shaft 4 is provided a transmissibility varying means 9 for varying the transmissibility of wheel steering angle to steering wheel steering angle. This varying means 9 transmits the rotation of a sun gear 14 due to the steering wheel shaft 2 to a ring gear 15 integral with the intermediate shaft 4 through a planet gear 16 while being constituted to pivot a carrier 18 by a stepping motor 20. And the being constituted to pivot a carrier 18 by a stepping motor 20. And the motor 20is controlled by a controller 33 on the basis of steering speed obtained from the output of a steering angle sensor 30.
