Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To follow the hourly fluctuation of a ghost by equalizing tap numbers of K-unit of taps and their gains of a delay line filter with a real time acting tap to the action tap number and its gain of the 2nd time division arithmetic ghost canceler at the point. CONSTITUTION:It is assumed that in terms of the delay line filter 30 with a tap, K-units of tap gain multiplier circuits 33 are connected at appropriate positions among N-units of taps of a delay line 31 with a tape, and their tap gains are set to appropriate values. Then among video signals including ghosts, which are impressed on an input terminal 1, the one outputted to an output terminal 2 is the video signal whose ghost component disappears or is reduced. The degree of the reduction depends on the relationship between the attitude of the ghost and the magnitude of K, and usually 10 - several 10 are necessary. On the other hand, N corresponds to the longest delay ghost to which N can correspond, and N is of several hundred digits where a tap interval is 0.1muS.
