Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a cyan coloring matter having favorable light resistance, preservation stability and sublimation transferrability, by using an azo coloring matter of a specified formula. CONSTITUTION:An azo coloring matter of formula I is used as a coloring matter, thereby obtaining a cyan coloring matter for thermal sublimation transfer recording. In the formula, X is cyano or a halogen, Y is hydrogen, methyl or acylamino, R<1> is an alkyl or aryl, R<2> is an alkyl, allyl, cyanoalkyl or phenylalkyl, and R<3> is an alkyl or alkoxyl.
