Electrostrictive effect element
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To contrive the uniformity of adhesion force by a method wherein inner electrode layers made of Ag-containing alloy and electrostrictive materials are provided on the inner lamination side, and inner electrostrictive materials on the outer lamination side, which are laminated via electrostrictive layers. CONSTITUTION:The element 33 is constructed by stacking the inner electrode layers 22 and the electrostrictive layers 11 in a longitudinal direction, and planes A and B are its action surfaces. The layers 11 are sandwiched between the layers 22 made of Ag-containing alloy and electrostrictive materials. Then, Ag-non-containing metal and electrostrictive materials are used for several layers upper and below, e.g. the first, second, forty-ninth, and fiftieth layers 22; besides, protection layers 11A and 11B made of electrostrictive layers 11 are provided outside the uppermost and lowermost layers. This manner can prevent the decrease in adhesion force between the outermost layers 11 and 22.
