Lock-up control device in automatic speed change gear
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the temperatures of oil and engine cooling water from abnormally rising, by providing such an arrangement that a lock-up device is actuated only at the highest speed stage in the normal running condition while it is actuated at n-1-th stage in such a running condition that the highest speed stage is not used. CONSTITUTION:A lock-up control valve 44 and a range control valve 52 are disposed in a lock-up control device in an automatic speed change gear. Further, the lock-up control may be actuated only at the n-1-th stage which is the highest speed stage, during normal running condition while it is actuated at the n-1-th stage when the running at the n-th stage is inhibited. With this arrangement the rotational speed of an engine is lowered so that the consump tion of fuel is reduced, thereby it is possible to prevent the temperatures of oil for the automatic speed change gear and cooling water for the engine from rising.
