Car travelling control device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To enable a car to make a cornering safely in the case that the car is involved in the cornering action, to which the speed control can not be applicable, by performing a safe cornering action with a speed control activated if the switch is depressed by a driver, and with the speed control deactivated if no switch is depressed by the driver. CONSTITUTION:A micro-computer 31 is connected to a radar unit 21 which detects the distance to a car going ahead, to a speed sensor 23 which detects the speed of one's own car, to a steering angle sensor 25 which detects the steering angle, a set switch 27 which is set by each driver, and to a resume switch 29 which outputs resume signals. The micro-computer is also connected to a throttle opening control device 33, and performs operations in response to output signals from groups of sensors and switches allowing the throttle opening control device 33 to transmit a signal for opening in controlling the speed.
