Control position indicating device for automobile automatic transmission unit

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce the number of component parts to reduce man-hours for assembly of an indicating device in order to aim at reducing the cost of the indicating device and as well at making the same lightweight, by integrally incorporating a lamp housing part with a housing. CONSTITUTION:A control position indicating device is composed of a housing 1, an indicator plate 2 and a cover slide 3. A lamp housing part 4 integrally incorporated with a housing 1 is composed of a recess section opened toward the upper section, and is provided in its lower end with a hole 6 through which a lamp 5 is inserted into the housing part 4. Stepped parts which are stepwisely enlarged upward, are formed in the opening part of the housing section 4 on both widthwise sides thereof, and have indicator plate guides parts 7 for supporting both widthwise sides of an indicator plate 2 inserted from above, at the lower side thereof. Further, the housing 1 is formed therein with a slit 11 along which a rod 10 swings.
