Suction device for internal-combustion engine
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To aim at improvements in engine output, by having a supercharger connected to a crankshaft via a stepless transmission, which making the transmission so as to be connected to an accelerator, and lessening a loss of supercharging pressure due to the operation of a throttle valve. CONSTITUTION:At a low suction air quantity range by acceleration operation, a throttle valve 3 is opened or closed in proportion to the accelerator operation whereby an air quantity (an air-fuel mixture quantity) to an engine is controlled, while supercharging action takes place by a supercharger 5 being mechanical driven via a stepless transmission 9. When it comes to such a suction air quantity range as being more than the low suction air quantity, the throttle valve 3 is fully opened, while in proportion to an accelerator operated variable, a ratio of output revolving speed to the input revolving speed of the stepless transmission 9 is gradually increased whereby the revolving speed of the supercharger 5 is also gradually increased, and a suction air quantity per unit time is gradually increased, thus supercharging pressure increases by degrees in consequence.
