Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a regenerative signal without jitter through the low-cost circuit constitution by using a clock from a fixed oscillator asynchronously with an input signal to regenerate the signal and allowing a memory to absorb the phase difference between the input signal and the clock from the fixed oscillator. CONSTITUTION:A timing extraction circuit 21 extracts a clock component from an input signal, addes it to a write control circuit 22, which generates a sampling pulse (b) for receiving signal from the said component and the pulse (b) writes an input signal on an elastic storage 23. A read pulse (d) is generated from a control circuit 25 and formed by the clock from the fixed oscillator 26 under the control of a frame control circuit 24. The time difference between the reception and retransmission of a relayed data block is expressed as [DELTAT.M/T1] bits in terms of the bit number of reception signal, where the pulses (b), (d) are independent, T1, T2 are the periods and T is the difference. Then the elastic storage 23 of 2.[DELTATmax.Mmax/T1] bits is used and when the input signal is read up to 1/2 of the total capacity, the signal read is started to relay one data block without overflow/underflow.
