Split print control system for wire dot type printer

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce the overall stroke length of split print scanning drastically, by setting the position of starting the split print scanning, after a specified drop in the power source voltage is detected, at the position where the power source voltage drop was detected to shift the print size to the total width of the row left. CONSTITUTION:A printing is performed in the printing width of full size from the initial line end position Ps and when a drop to a specified level is detected in the power source voltage at Pt1, the printing width is altered to 1/4 size to perform a printing up to Pe. The printed data covering up to Pt1 is cleared and the remaining area is printed in the printing width of 3/4 size from Pt1. When another voltage drop is detected at Pt2, the printing width is altered to 1/4 size to perform a printing up to Pe. The printed data up to Pt2 is cleared and the remaining area is printed in the printing width of 2/4 size from Pt2. When further voltage drop is detected at Pt3, the olumn width is altered to 1/4 size to perform a printing up to Pe. The printed data up to Pt3 is cleared and the remaining area is printed in the printing width of 1/4 size to complete the printing.
