Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce the thickness of a cable through which data is transferred to a host device by transferring the signals supplied from a keyboard and a mouth to a transfer buffer and delivering data alternately and serially. CONSTITUTION:A microprocessor 7 receives signals from a timer monitoring circuit 8 and extracts every fixed period of time the data supplied from a keyboard 1 and a mouth 2 which are held by a keyboard buffer 5 and a position detecting circuit 6 respectively for production of a data array. In other words, the key data given from the buffer 5 and switch data SW1 and SW2 of a mouth held by the circuit 6 are extracted for a fixed period of time and sent to a transfer buffer 9 together with a flag of 1 set at the head. While the mouth data is read out of the circuit 6 is another fixed period of time and sent to the buffer 9 together with a flag of 0 set at the head.
