Floating type magnetic head

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To realize a magnetic core which has uniform thickness size, no deviation, and a small lead of a magnetic field by clamping a thin-film magnetic core half body between reinforcing plates or floating members, and using two kinds of nonjoining materials which differ in fusion point for the joining. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic half body 7 has a magnetic core half body 13 clamped between a couple of reinforcing plates 14a and 14b, thin films are formed on both plate surfaces of the core half body 13, and low-fusion-point glass is used for their joining. A magnetic half body 8 also has the same structure and is clampled between a couple of floating members 17a and 17b and low-fusion-point glass 21 is used for their joining. When the magnetic half bodies 7 and 8 are joined together, a material which has no physical transformation at the treatment temperature of the low-fusion-point glass 21, e.g. silicon dioxide 22 is used for the joining. Consequently, a magnetic core has uniform thickness size is obtained at right angles to a magnetic medium surface, so that the magnetic core ch has no shift and a small leak of a magnetic field is obtained.
