Color picture output device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain an output of a color picture with high quality by outputting a proper picture corresponding to the set of luminance/color difference signals even when the set to the luminance/color difference signals having no correspondence with a color possible for output is obtained. CONSTITUTION:A curved surface body 41 represents a region of a luminance/ color difference signals corresponding to the set of ink density possible for output and a cube 42 at the outside represents a domain of luminance/color difference signals subjected to change. First a set (y1, y2, y3) of a normalized color signal corresponding to the luminance/color difference signal Y is obtained. Then a set minimizing an error distance E in sets (x1, x2, x3) of normalized color signals corresponding to the set of ink density possible for output is obtained and a converting value of the signal of the sets of luminance signals corresponding to the set of normalized color is made equal to the converting value of the signal Y. The content of a conversion table 11 from the luminance/color difference signal to an ink density signal is buried without gap by applying the operation to all signals at the outside of the curved surface body 41.
