Adhesive composition

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:An adhesive composition, consisting of a specific synthetic resin emulsion obtained by emulsion polymerizing a monomer with a specific amount of a specific oligomer as an emulsifying agent, and having improved mechanical stability, tack, holding power and adhesive force. CONSTITUTION:An adhesive composition obtained from a synthetic resin emulsion prepared by emulsion polymerizing 100pts.wt. polymerizable monomer, e.g. methyl acrylate, with 0.2-10pts.wt. oligomer expressed by formula I [R1 is 6- 16C alkyl; R2-R5 are H, carboxyl, carboxymethyl, 1-5C alkyl or ammonium, amine or alkali (earth) metal base thereof; X is cyano or -COOCH3; Y is H, ammonium, amine base or alkali (earth) metal base; a and b are 1-100] and/or formula II (R6 is H, halogen or alkyl) as an emusifying agent, and having <=0 deg.C glass transition temperature.
