Data collecting device for analysis of trouble cause

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To easily analyze the cause of trouble by storing the operation process of a CPU up to the trouble occurrence in a trace buffer. CONSTITUTION:A start/stop control part 11 actuates a fetch control part 10 for the generation of a clock for operation in the absence of an interruption signal 8 and data on a system bus 4 are inputted to the trace buffer 9. When an interruption signal 8 is generated, the start/stop control part 11 disables the fetch control part 10 to operate immediately, thereby stopping the fetch of data to the trace buffer 9.The trace buffer 9 is constituted as a ring buffer which inputs data from the system bus 4 until the interruption signal 8 is outputted. Therefore, when the interruption signal 8 is generated, the operation of the CPU1 up to the point is stored in the trace buffer 9 to its capacity.
