Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve strength to external force and reliability by fitting a reinforcing member to an element holder with screws and reinforcing the holder. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber 13 is fixed to a fiber holder 16 after adjusted vertically so that its position relation with a light emitting element fixed to the element holder 12 coincides with the image formation condition of a lens 15. The element holder 12 and fiber holder 16 are adjusted laterally and fixed with an adhesive 19 and the reinforcing member 17. The reinforcing member 17 is fitted to the element holder 12 with screws 18 while covering the projection part 16a of the fiber holder 16. Consequently, the coupling part between the fiber holder and element holder becomes tolerant to external force.
