Gel composition containing silicone oil

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition having arbitrary viscosity, and good age stability and workability, an suitable as consmetics and pharmaceutical base, etc., by compounding a silicon with specific amounts of a specific silicon compound, an organic-modified montmorillonite and water. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be produced by compounding (A) 20-90(wt)% silicon oil (e.g. dimethylpolysiloxane) with (B) 0.1-30% one or more polyoxyalkylene-modified organopolysiloxanes of formula I-formula III (R is methyl, etc.; R' is H or 1-12C alkyl; P is 1-5; q is 2-3; X, m and n are numbers corresponding to a compound containing 2-20% polyoxyalkylene in the molecule and having a viscosity of 5-3,000cst), (C) 0.1-15% organic- modified montmorillonite clay mineral and (D) 0.2-80% water.
