IC card verification system

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent stealing and forging in a route from a manufacturer to an owner by printing an initial collating number (IPIN) read from the first memory onto the second sealed sheet and collating these IPIN data. CONSTITUTION:There is an IC card which is set by a manufacturer, and builds in an IC circuit including the first memory storing plural secret data including, at least, a manufacturing master key (PMK) data and initial collating number (IPIN) data. The PMK data are read from the first memory, printed on the first sealed sheet and the IC card and the first sealed sheet are handed over to an issuer separately. The issuer collates the PMK data on the first sealed sheet and the PMK data in the IC card, stores account number data in accordance with coincident detection and IPIN data of the first memory are printed on the second sealed sheet. By storing collating number (PIN) data in the IC circuit in accordance with an coincident detection of these data, stealing and forging can be prevented.
