Silver halide photographic sensitive material
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To enhance high illumination sensitivity of a silver halide photographic sensitive material and to improve storage stability by forming silver halide grains each composed of two layers of a core, and a shell contg. a specified amt. or more of silver chloride, and iridium. CONSTITUTION:Each silver halide grain is of a 2-layer core-shell type structure, and the shell contains silver halide composed of silver chloride, bromide, iodide, etc., contg. >=80mol% silver chloride, and further, iridium is incorporated in both layers, and iridium and silver chloride are incorporated higher in the shell than in the core. These silver halide grains of laminate structure can be prepared by first forming silver halide in the core, and successively laminating silver halide in the shell, and incorporating silver halide grains to obtain photosensitive material high in sensitivity. Since a prescribed silver chloride and iridium are incorporated in the shell, the obtained photosensitive material is high in sensitivity and can form a photograph low in fog and high in contrast.
