Chlorine-containing resin composition

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition having excellent weatherability by incorporating a specified phosphorus compound into a chlorine-containing resin. CONSTITUTION:A compound of formula I [where R1 is an alkyl, an aryl, an alkenyl, an alkylaryl or an arylalkyl; R2 is an alkyl, an alkenyl, -R3-OH or -R4- COOR5 (where R3 and R4 each are an alkylene; R5 is an alkyl)] (e.g. a compound of formula II or III) preferably in an amount of 0.01-10pts.wt. are incorporated into a chlorine-containing resin such as a vinyl chloride homopolymer or a resin consisting mainly of vinyl chloride, e.g. a copolymer or graft polymer of vinyl chloride with vinyl acetate, vinylidene chloride, ethylene, propylene, etc. respectively or a blend of vinyl chloride resin with a resin made from each of these monomers.
