Polymerization-hardenable phosphazene compound
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:The titled compound, having a lowered viscosity and improved wettability on a surface of an adherent along with producing a hardened substance exhibiting superior mechanical properties, and prepared by reacting a dichlorophosphazene with a hydroxyalkyl methacrylate. CONSTITUTION:A dichlorophosphazene (any one of straight chain, cyclic trimer and cyclic tetramer is available) is reacted with a hydroxyalkyl methacrylate, preferably 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate in a solvent in the presence of a tertiary amine at 25-90 deg.C to obtain the phosphazene compound composed of units expressed by the formula [n is 3-18, 3 and 4; (X)+(Y) is 2 and both (X) and (Y) is larger than O respectively and (X) and (Y) are identical or (Y) is chlorine atom and (X) is -O(CH2R)O2CCCH3=CH2 (R is 1-11C alkyl)]. Said compound is used as either adhesives for coupling restorative dental materials or dental fillers, and exhibits high degree mechanical properties and adhesivitym.
