Preparation of flexible hose

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prepare a strong and durable flexible hose easily by filling, with hard synthetic resin, projecting parts between the neigh-boring spiral grooves of soft belt-type substance having a connecting member which perforates and projects at the intermediate part in the thickness direction and in the lateral width direction. CONSTITUTION:Hard rod substance 1B, 1B wound about the drums 4, 4 are paid out by a pinch roll 5 in parallel with a specified interval. Flexible thread substance 1A, 1A paid out and supplied respectively from bobbins 6, 6 are wound spirally about the above delivered substance to prepare the above-mentioned connected member 1. Of the belt-type substance part of two layers, inner and outer, coming from the rubber extruder 8, the belt-type substance part 2a coming inside the hose is put and stuck on one side of the connecting member 1 and wound spirally about the former 9 as the other side is located outside. The belt-type substance part 2b coming outside the hose is put and stuck on the other side and collected on the drum 12 to make soft belt-type substance 2 with the connecting member 1 previously. This soft belt-type substance 2 is wound spirally, the space between the neighboring spiral grooves (a) is filled with melted hard synthetic resin 3 extruded from a resin extruder. This filler is welded with hard bar-type substance 1B, 1B and the U-form bent parts 1a, 1a on both sides of the flexible thread-type substance 1A, 1A and hard synthetic resin 3 are connected.
