Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To attain always focused photographing only by setting up the size of a subject once in a photographing frame by detecting the focal distance of a zoom lens and the distance of the subject, controlling the focal distance so that the ratio between the detected values is fixedly held and controlling the focus in accordance with the distance of the subject. CONSTITUTION:The subject is focused and zoomed to determine the size of the subject in the photographing frame and then a portrate switch 11 is turned on. At that time, zoom position information and focus position information are inputted respectively from a zooming detecting circuit 4 and a range finding detecting circuit 5 to an arithmetic circuit 2 through switching means 8, 9 turned on to calculate the size of the subject in the photographing frame and store the calculated size. When the change of the distance of the subject is inputted from the circuit 6 to the circuit 2 thereafter, a signal is outputted from a terminal B so that the size of the subject coincides with the stored reference, a zoom control circuit 3 zooms a barrel 10 and focus control circuit 7 executes focusing.
