Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent unnecessary adjustment of ground clearance from being made by allowing no adjustment of ground elearance to be made before the door is opened when the speed of a car becomes less than 3km/h from the condition where the adjustment of ground clearance is suspended. CONSTITUTION:Signals detected by a front and a rear ground clearance sensors 22F and 22R are transmitted to a control unit 25, and also signals for the speed detected by a speed sensor 27, and signals for change in attitude such as pitching, rolling, and yawing detected by an accelerometer 28 are transmitted to the control unit 25. A three way selector valve 36 has a function to communicate a pnuematic drive mechanism 35, a reservoir 20, and atmosphere selectively one another in response to the signals from the control unit 25. In addition, a door switch 41 is automatically off when the door is closed. And if the speed of a car is less than 3km/h with the door switch off, no adjustment of ground clearace is allowed, that is, it is not allowed that a rear solenoid valve 15 is on.
