Production of carrier for high-density information recording disk
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a carrier for a high-density information recording disk which is easily releasable and is highly resistant to heat by coating a polyimide resin soln. on a casting mold having a fine rugged pattern on the smooth surface and drying the coating to form the film then releasing the film from the casting mold thereby forming the carrier without using a release agent. CONSTITUTION:The polyimide resin to be used is available on the market; for example, the polyimide having the repeating unit: formula I and the noncrystalline polyether imide resin having the repeating unit: formula II are preferably used. Such resin is used by dissolving the resin in an org. solvent which can dissolve said polyimide resin, for example, trichloroethylene, trichloroethane, trichloromethane and dichloromethane and adjusting the soln. to a suitable concn. and viscosity according to coating methods. The soln. is preferably filtered before coating if the soln. contains dust. The resultant resin soln. is coated on the rugged surface of the casting mold and is dried after coating until the smooth coating surface is obtd. while care is exercised for the conditions including temp., humidity, vapor pressure of the solvent, etc. The film is thus formed.
