System for connection between time division telephone exchange network and packet switching network
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To make packet switching between a time-division telephone exchange and a packet network possible to simplify the constitution of a system by performing protocol and speed setting, packet switching, etc. by an additional device provided between the time division telephone exchange and the packet network. CONSTITUTION:A data speed switching device 3 is connected to a time-division telephone exchange 1 by a data line 7, and a data terminal 2 is connected to the device 3 by a data line 6. An additional device 4 is connected to the exchange 1 by a data line 8, and a packet network 5 is connected to the additional device 4 by a data line 9. Data is received from a terminal 1 through the switching device 3 by the exchange 1, and packet information and attribute information are applied to the additional device 4. Protocol and speed setting, packet switching, etc. are performed by the additional device to make packet switching between the terminal 1 and the network 5 possible, thus simplifying the constitution of the system.
