Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To enable sure inhibition of harmonics radiation without causing any change of the shape, by providing a high frequency absorber covered with an electric conductor which has harmonics resonant slots thereby cut off in relation to the fundamental wave. CONSTITUTION:A high frequency absorber 33 is arranged on the periphery of an electric conductor cylinder 34 coaxially enclosing an antenna lead 24 inside a metal container 18 which is joined airtight to the aperture end part of an anode cylinder 13. Plural resonant slots 35 for passing harmonics are provided on the inside of the cylindrical part of this cylinder 34, and the shapes of the slots 35 are arranged to have the dimension L which is resonant with components above the forth harmonics so that the fundamental component can not pass from the space with the antenna lead to the absorber 34. The length L1 is set to a half of the wave length of the fifth harmonics and plural pairs of slots which are in parallel with the peripheral direction and the slot tube axis alternately are formed in order to transmit the electromagnetic field of various modes of the fifth harmonics to the absorber 33 for absorption. As a result, the radiation of the harmonics can be surely inhibited.
