Controll system of dynamic memory

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To minimize a start waiting by starting a refresh cycle at accessing to memory except dynamic memory when a memory access request signal does not arrive in the prescribed period and when the cycle time of the dynamic memory is satisfied. CONSTITUTION:An internal oscillator circuit 1 supplieds a refresh request signal 101 to 1st, 2nd, 3rd refresh cycle start request circuits 2-4. Receiving a memory access request signal 102, the circuit 2 generates a refresh start request signal 103 after the prescribed period expires. Receiving a signal 108 for showing that the cycle time of a dynaimc memory is satisfied from a memory cycle signal generator circuit 6, the circuit 3 generates a refresh cycle start request signal 104. Receiving a signal 109 for recognizing the access to memory except a dynamic one from the circuit 6, the circuit 4 produces a refresh cycle start request signal 105. Receiving the signals 103-105, a refresh signal generator circuit 5 starts the refresh cycle, thereby minimizing a start waiting.
