Magnetic recording and reproducing method for still picture signal
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To read a clock signal to use as a clock at reproduction and to judge a dropout from the level of said clock signal by superposing the clock on a still picture signal and directly recording on a magnetic recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A controller 2 outputs a clock signal whose period is that during which each picture element is outputted. The said clock signal is superposed by a mixer 5 with the still picture signal coming through an f1-eliminating filter 4, and is outputted to a recording head 8. Meanwhile, only the f1 is selected from a reproduced picture signal by means of an f1BPF 12 to be supplied to an A/D converter 14, and used as read timing. The clock signal outputted from the BPF 12 is also transferred to a level detector circuit 15, then the circuit 15 judges as dropout when the clock signal becomes a level lower than a prescribed value, and informs it to the controller 2. Consequently, the controller 2 executes prescribed processings based on the detection content.
