Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To attain great coupling between antennas and dielectric resonators by constituting each antenna as a bar-shaped antenna coated with a dielectric or a loop-shaped antenna surrounding a dielectric block or a magnetic body block. CONSTITUTION:Bar-shaped antennas 12 and 14 are coated columnarly with dielectrics 16 and 18 consisting of dielectric ceramics. The intensity of magnetic field near bar-shaped antennas 12 and 14 is increased, and coupling to dielectric resonators 4 and 6 is strengthened in comparison with the use of only bar-shaped antennas 12 and 14 having the same shape and dimensions. Thus, great coupling is attained by small-sized antennas.
