Vibration damper

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To achieve high vibration damping function by forming the communication path with the outercircumferential face of annular member and the innercircumferential face of outer cylinder and providing sufficient length. CONSTITUTION:An annular member 17 passing through the fluid chambers 16, 16 is arranged between the intermediate cylinders 14, 14 and between the outer cylinder 12 and a resilient member 13. Then a communication path 18 between said chambers 16, 16 is formed with a spiral groove 17a made in the outercircumferential face of the annular member 17 and the innercircumferential face of the outer cylinder. Consequently, upon transmission of vibration to the inner or outer cylinder 11 or 12 in the direction perpendicular against the axis, the fluid will flow through sufficiently long communication path 18 at the outercircumference of annular member 17 into the fluid chamber at the enlarged side resulting in considerable damping of vibration.
