Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To produce proper carrying force in a paper arranging device of copier, by increasing/decreasing the rotation of motor with correspondence to the thickness of paper in tray thereby increasing/decreasing the centrifugal force functioning onto a paddle and maintaining the contacting pressure against the uppermost paper constant. CONSTITUTION:Upon increase of the number of paper A to increase the thickness of the paper, the rolling angle of an arm 9 will increase while the detected level of a potentiometer 10 will decrease to lower the supply voltage to D.C. motor 6 thereby the rotation of motor 6 will decrease to decrease the rotation of the rotary shaft 3 thus to reduce the centrifugal force functioning to a paddle 4 and to contract the paddle 4. When the thickness of paper is low, the rolling angle theta of the arm 9 will decrease while the detected level of the potentiometer 10 will increase to increase the supply voltage to the motor 6 thus to increase the rotation and to expand the paddle 4 through centrifugal force. Since the paddle 4 will contract with correspondence to the thickness of paper, the contacting pressure against the uppermost paper is maintained constant to produce proper carrying force.
