Power supply for video camera

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To decrease the power consumption by switching an output voltage of switching regulator to supply the power supply to an electronic view finder and a main drive power voltage forming DC-DC converter depending on the main drive state and the standby state. CONSTITUTION:The switching regulator 2 stabilizes an unregulated DC power supply fed to a terminal 1 and supplies power to an electronic view finder block 10, the DC-DC converter 5 and a series regulator 4. A converter 5 and the regulator 4 supply various power voltages to a main circuit (not shown). Further, a control signal representing the main drive state and the standby state from a terminal 2 is fed directly to the regulators 2, 4 and to the converter 5 via the regulator 4 so as to lower the output voltage of the regulator 2 at the standby state and stop the operation of the comparator 5 and the regulator 4. Thus, low power consumption is attained.
