Plate type oil cooler

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To simplify construction of an oil cooler and decrease its weight, by constituting the oil cooler by piling together plural sheets of plates which alternately provide openings with a flange and openings without a flange in a flat part of the annular plate providing a central hole and short cylindrical flanges. CONSTITUTION:This oil cooler 1 is constituted by piling together plural sheets of plates 2. Each plate 2, being formed in an annular shape with a central hole 3 and having short cylindrical flanges 4a, 4b in inner and outer peripheral edges, forms a flat part 5 in an intermediate part between the flanges. The flat part 5 alternately forms an even number of through holes 6a with a flange 8 and through holes 6b without the flange in an equal pitch P on a circumference 7 concentric with the plate 2. And the oil cooler, piling together plural sheets of the above plates 2 being successively displaced by the pitch P so as to arrange the through holes 6a and 6b alternately in the vertical direction, is constituted by securing both a cover 14 through a coating plate 9 to the upper part of the plates and a bottom chamber 15 to the bottom part of the plates.
