Pesticide powder composition

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition containing a fatty acid metal salt and a specific silicone compound in combination with an active pesticidal component and having mitigated toxicity to fish and other aquatic life. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition contains (A) an active pesticidal component such as fungicide, insecticide, herbicide, etc. and (B) a fatty acid metal salt, preferably a bivalent or trivalent metal salt of a 12-20C fatty acid (e.g. Ca, Mg or Al salt of stearic acid, lauric acid, palmitic acid, etc.) and (C) a silicone compound of formula (R is lower alkyl or phenyl; n is 1-100). Preferably, the weight ratios of A:B and A:C are 1:(0.5-10) and 1:(0.1-2), respectively, and the amounts of the component B and the component C in the whole pesticide powder are 3-5wt% and 0.1-2wt%, respectively.
