Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To decorate a cake in various patterns, easily and economically, without necessitating complicate operation, by supplying a decorating material to a cake on a conveyor through needle valves attached to the nozzles of a distribution head suspended from a specific swinging plate. CONSTITUTION:A swinging plate 6 is suspended with four rods 7 from the beam of a portal frame 3 placed on the side plates 2, 2 across the conveyor 1 transferring a cake. The plate is oscillated laterally with the crank 12, the rod 13, the lever 14, the shaft 15, and the lever 16, etc. connected to the shaft of the motor 11 placed on the beam, and is oscillated longitudinally with the crank 25, the rod 26, the lever 27, the shaft 28, and the lever 29, etc. An elongated case furnished with a distribution head 4 is fixed to the plate 6 with the fixing member 8. The decorating material is supplied from the tank to the distribution head 4 with a pump, and is extruded through plural nozzles 5. The flow rate of the material is varied selectively with the needles inserted movably into the nozzles to control the flow with a resistance controlling mechanism. At the same time, the nozzles are reciprocated laterally and longitudinally to apply a decoration of various patterns to the cake on the conveyor 1.
