Method of construction drilling hole and connecting pipe in underground small bore pipe

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To enable a pipe to be easily connected with a small bore pipe buried by the method of press advance burying construction, by self propelling the main unit of a hole drilling and pipe connecting device, inserted into the buried pipe, to be moved and turned in a peripheral direction while drilling a hole from the inner of the pipe thereafter self propelling the main unit to be moved so as to perform pipe connection. CONSTITUTION:A main unit 2, repeating in an underground small bore pipe 1 the action such that a telescopic device D is extended after locking a lock device C and releasing a lock device C' while next contracted by the same dimension reversely by locking the device C' and releasing the device C, is self propelled and moved in every fixed interval. Next the main unit 2, locking the devices C, C', is turned by a peripheral directional rotating device E so that a drill cutter 3 may face a direction with no matter for the other buried object, and the main unit 2, rotating the cutter 3 by a hole drilling device A to drill a hole from the inner of the underground pipe 1 and resetting the cutter 3, is self propelled moving so that a pipe connecting device B may be aligned to the position of a hole drilling part 6. Next the main unit, excavating a hole 7 in the ground surface corresponding to the hole drilling part 6 so as to insert a branch pipe 8 into said hole 7 and lifting a receiving fixture 5 by the connecting device B while fitting a sleeve 4 to the hole drilling part 6, forces the branch pipe 8 to be pressed by pressure into the sleeve 4 thus connecting the branch pipe 8 with the underground pipe 1.
