Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To protect recording information securely by providing a buffer memory for recording data, and interrupting the recording data if a recording error occurs during recording operation and restarting the recording operation after the error is recovered. CONSTITUTION:An input signal to be recorded is supplied to an encoder 8 through a terminal T1. The encoded input signal is written in the buffer memory 10 with a synchronizing signal from a clock pulse generator 9. A PLL which holds phases of a write address counter 11 and a read address counter 12 for addressing the memory 10 constant is composed of a subtracting circuit 13 and a voltage-controlled oscillator 14. when a track error detecting circuit 3 detects a track jump, a recording amplifier 15 is stopped and the clock from the oscillator 14 is cut off by a gate circuit 16. When the spot SP from an optical head 1 returns to its original recording position, the circuit 16 is closed and data stored in the memory 10 is outputted. Thus, the recording is carried on after error recovery to protect the recording information.
