Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To reliably maintain the stabilized state of the oscillation frequency, and to increase the reliability, by making semiconductor laser light incident on a light-amplifing medium, and controlling the light so that the variation of the intensity of the light as an output become 0. CONSTITUTION:The laser light from the semiconductor laser 1 is divided by a frequency divider 5, and another portion of the light as excitation light is made incident on the optical fiber 3 as an amplifing medium through an optical isolator 21. And the signal light from the frequency-stable laser 6 is made incident on the fiber 3 through an isolator 22 from the other end not from that of the laser 1, amplified by means of Induction Brillouin Amplifying Effect of the optical fiber 3, then separated from the excitation light by means of the isolator 21, detected by a light-detector 7, and made incident on a control circuit 8. The electric output of the detector 7 is compared with the reference voltage in the circuit 8, and the driving current and operating temperature for the laser 1 are controlled with a driving circuit 9 so that the output of the detector 7 become constant (that is, the variation of intensity is 0).
