Painting apparatus

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce the maintenance cost by forming a painting apparatus of an elevating cable equipped on a self-traveling carriage, a turntable, a locating table, and a working head. CONSTITUTION:When a traveling apparatus 20 is pulled up above an object 3 to be painted, heads 11 and 19 are elevated to the uppermost position of an elevating stroke by driving a head elevating motor 35 through a screw jack 38 and a screw 36. Then a head moving table 25 is moved onto a guide rail 29 through a ball screw 30 by driving a head locating motor 28. The detection of the position is carried out by a distance sensor 47 provided to a brushing cover 13. When a traveling carriage 39 travels for a speified distance, a head elevating table 34 is lowered by a specified stroke by driving the head elevating motor 35 to run the travelling carriage 39 in the reverse direction. And the brushing is automatically carried out.
