Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To enable the spring constant of a device to be changed, by changing the pressure in a pressure chamber provided neighboring to a vibration-damping enclosed chamber, in the case of the vibration isolator device suitable for an engine mount or the like in an automobile. CONSTITUTION:A vibration-absorptive elastic member 16 is adhesively vulcanized to be attached between a connecting cylinder 14 secured to a base plate 10 and a supporting shaft 18 mounted to an engine or the like. An elastic rubber film 22 is adhesively vulcanized to be attached between a hanging part 18A of the supporting shaft 18 and an inner ring 24. Then a device respectively forms a vibration-damping enclosed fluid chamber 28 between the elastic rubber film 22 and the base plate 10 while an air chamber 26 being a pressure chamber between the elastic rubber film 22 and the vibration-absorptive elastic member 16. The air chamber 26 is connected to a compressor 38 which is controlled by a control device 40 receiving signals from detectors 40A-40C of car speed, engine vibration frequency, engine speed, etc. of an automobile. A spring constant can be changed by varying a pressure of the air chamber 26.
