Multicolor thermal recorder

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To record by dissolving or mixing an ink used for overlap recording into or with an ink used for recording before overlapping, by a method wherein when transferring an ink overlappingly on the ink precedingly transferred, the amount of energy impressed on a thermal head is made to be larger than that before the overlap transfer. CONSTITUTION:A means is provided by which the amount of energy impressed on the thermal head for the second overlap recording is set to be larger than that for the first recording, and the amount of energy impressed on the head for the third overlap recording is set to be still larger than that for the second overlap recording, namely, the amount of energy impressed on the thermal head for the n-th overlap recording is set to be larger than that for the (n-1)th recording. Accordingly, the ink used for overlap recording can be dissolved into or mixed with the ink used before the overlap recording, mixability of the inks is enhanced, and an excellent multicolor thermal recording can be achieved.
