Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To allow a user to do shopping by setting the quantity of desired articles on a screeen on interactive basis and then indicating the completion of the input. CONSTITUTION:The user operates a touch panel 12, namely, presses some of six kinds of unit prices in a unit price display field 22 to select one of two kinds of apple and its size. Consequently, the selected part changes in color on the display device 13 to make which one is selected conspicuous at a look. At the same time, its unit price is displayed in the unit price field 23 at the upper right position on the screen. When the quantity is increased or decreased, a panel ''+1'' or ''-1'' is pressed. The contents of a quantity field 24 at the right upper position on the display screen are increased or decreased, the amount obtained by multiplying the unit price of the selected apples by the quantity is displayed as the total amount in a total amount field 25, and a selected quantity of small apples are displayed in a left field 26. The user operates an arrow 27 of +1 or arrow 28 of -1 several times until the desired quantity is set, and then operates a key 29 for ''OK'' to let a personal computer know the operation is completed.
